Here you are my illustration for the #mermaychallenge2018
It was strange drawing it, I had a lot of ideas, that I'd like to draw, but I didn't have the strength to put it as illustrations (don't worry I'll do them even If they'll be not posting as challenge art pieces).
There is also a fun fact about this drawing: in my native language siren and mermaid are the same things, the difference is the representation, if it's the mythical creature is greek or the medieval one. The greek one is half birds, the medieval ones are the classical fish. The fact is that I discovered it after I finished the lineart of my first illustration and only thanks to a friend of mine I could keep the idea of the bird lady, who is trying to summon the mermaid.
